Humphrey Ikin’s serving table translates into sculptural form the European sideboard combined with the communal Polynesian serving bowl. Alluding to the art of canoe-making and modern racing yacht design, it wittily sits as a cradled boat. The serving table is imbued with a sense of New Zealand as an island within the South Pacific.
