  • Description

Kupesi. Patterned rubbing board. This kupesi is square in shape and thin in depth. Paired with 38958.2 the base is framed by the words "AHAUMOEPAPA" this could be referring to a name or place in Tonga. The rest of the kupesi is made up of other designs. This kupesi has a backing of kaka(coconut sheath) and it has been cut and layered in a square shape. These layers are sewn together with pulu'i niu(coconut sennit).
