The rest of the kupesi is made up of other designs. This kupesi has a backing of kaka(coconut sheath) and it has been cut and layered in a square shape. These layers are sewn together with pulu'i niu(coconut sennit). The kupesi itself is made from tu'aniu(coconut midrib) and has been secured in place with pulu'i niu.
