    Shield

    Made from wood and cane. A long thin shield made from wood with 3 peaks at the top edge with U shapes between the peaks, the lower edge has 2 peaks and 1 U shape. The wood has been coloured a dark brown and is wearing off in sections of the shield. The centre front of the shield has a convex peak in the wood. The front of the shield has 4 horizontal bands of plait woven cane that passes through hidden holes in the shield. The reverse of the shield has the 4 bands of plaited cane. At the reverse centre is a half sphere shape cut in to the wood with a vertical bar that connects to either side of the half sphere as a handle
