    Medicine chest owned by Sir John Logan Campbell. Possibly the chest brought from Scotland on his initial voyage to Australia in 1839 as assistant surgeon on the 'Palmyra'.

    wooden box with lift up top and pull out drawer. There are three recessed brass handles, one at front and one on each side.

    The top shelf is divided into small square compartments for glass stopper bottles, second drawer (pull out) contains packets, jars, pill boxes and splints
