    Needle and bodkin case. Belonged Frances Anne Davis. Made from silver. Cylindrical case with a screw-on lid and swivel handle at one end. The lid is spherical with a small nub at the top. There are hallmarks along the edge where the lid screws on: “[lion passant] [leopard head] t [sovereign's head]” (denotes made in Chester, England in 1882). There are silversmith’s initials on the handle “JH”.
