  • Description

    Kumete. Bowl. Used for domestic purposes, food carrying and presentation. Large, circular kumete, carved thick from solid rakau (wood), possibly tamanu (mahogany). Surface shows wear and is rough to the touch. Interior shows markings from adze work. Dark brown colour.
