  • Description

    pair of leggings made from thick rawhide. Long rectangle of rawhide decorated with red colouring on borders and red tassel inserted through bottom[?] edge. Over top edge is applied a strip of decoration that consists of three strips of dark coloured leather and below this a wider strip of soft leather with the lower edge cut into a fringe and coloured red.

    The three dark strips are attached to the lower wider strip with decorative cotton stitching in blocks of five to form a pattern (two on top, one on middle and two on bottom). This is repeated three times. The leggings are tied to the leg with leather thongs that run down the sides of each rectangle.
