Woven in the style distinctive to the women of Daku village, Tailevu province. Woven from drau ni niu (coconut leaflet) of natural colour, incorporated with somo (black dyed strips of voivoi, or pandanus) to decorative effect, and magimagi (coconut sennit) braided in tali tolu (3 ply braiding technique) tightly wrapped around the handle, thicker at handle's end. Blade's commencement at centre base, woven out in vertical twill. Somo incorporated into the weaving from the lower edge at eitherside of the central plaited commencement, rising upwards and crossing over towards top of the blade finishing at opposite sides of the blade's apex.
