Kali are wooden pillows or headrests that are placed under the head or nape of the neck whilst sleeping or lying down. There are different types of kali that vary in construction as well as the materials used. This kali is carved from toa wood (ironwood) the headrest itself is straight, rectangular and long in shape. on the underside, at either end, there are two circular wooden ring protrusions. The hole allows for each leg to be inserted and secured.
