  • Description

    Saqa Tabua. Double 'twin' container water vessel. Made from qele (clay) with Wa ni Tabua (crossover handle) with a hole cut out at the centre top. An orifice is on the centre-top of a container, with an i gaga (pouring spout) on the end of a container. Somuna (decorative spots of applied qele) decorate the waist of the spherical containers, with single rows extending across the centre-top of the spherical containers.

    Incisions decorate the handle and tops of the spherical containers. Outer surface coated with makadre (resin from the Dakua tree).
