    Ronald Castle purchased this novelty instrument from a collector in London in the early 1960s. At the top is a silver round knob through which the pipe is sounded. Other forms of walking stick instruments included the violin, recorder, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet and bagpipe chanter and were mainly made in the 19th century.
