    sitar, a large long neck fretted lute, five strings, seven pegs, gourd body, wide finger board, two ivory string guiders near top of fingerboard, ivory inlay border on front of fingerboard, ivory bridge on gours (resonator), two ivory birds inlaid either side of strings, eighteen metal frets, exterior of gourd - wood relief of plant (ferns?) decoration, on back of gourd, triangular ivory piece - string holder.

    Bag - draw string, cotton, with thin vertical stripes, (black, yellow, black, pink, black), round body head, tubular sock body, small hanging hook at base
