    Waist ornament

    Made from leather, cane, and cowrie shells. A thin waist ornament made from a base of leather rope with alternating sections of cane design and cowrie shells. The cane designs are thin strips of cane coloured black or white that are stitched in to the leather horizontally alternating. The cowrie shells are sewn to the leather in lines of 4 shells. The end of the waist ornament is a loop closure
