  • Description

    Table ornament of [brass] with [brass] stand. Ornament is goblet-shaped with a long stem and flared base. [Brass] leaf shapes drape down from top of stem. Exterior surfaces are intricately decorated with engraving and chasing. Designs include dancing figures, floral motifs and geometric borders. Stand is engraved and chased in same style as ornament with similar floral motifs and figures.

    Stand also depicts birds on either side of the figure, with long necks bent back towards their tails. Large flower surrounded by smaller floral motifs on the centre of the stand. Bottom surfaces of stand are undecorated but marks from the decoration on top are visible on underside.
