  • Description

    Fan of woven plant material with a wooden handle. Fan is made of lengths of [root] that have been bound together into a flat shape with twined cord of commercial manufacture. Around the edges a border of black and red cloth fabric and brown thread is stitched onto both sides. Brown cloth is wrapped around the edges closest to the handle. A fringe of [root] lengths is attached to the rounded outer edge of the fan. The handle is turned wooden with decorative features.

    It is painted red and green.
