    Dart shaft (English)

  • Description

    Fou. Shaft of fou (hibiscus tiliaceaus). This is a component used to complete a tika (dart head and shaft). It is light in weight, cylindrical in form and long in length. One end features a hollow where the noded end of a fakaulu (dart head) would be wedged into place. Once assembled, the tika would be propelled into the air. The point of the game tika is to try and propel the tika as far you can across the field.
