    Tapora. Coconut frond basket. Used to carry cooked food or other items. Usually used temporarily and discarded after use. Tapora woven from one large kikau (coconut major rib leaf) in a check pattern. Woven tatai (handle) also made from the same kikau. Opening tied with three strands of rauara (pandanus) so sides are closer together.
