  • Description

    Pareu. Dance skirt. Composite materials used in its manufacture. Multiple strands of kiriau (hibiscus fibre) thickly layered. Top of the strands woven into a wide band across the garment with dark red cotton overlaid on top of this section. Decorative elements sewn into this waistband portion including metal hearts and yellow cord. Garment has decorative kiriau tassels and pompoms of natural and dyed blue colour. Lower part of of the kiriau skirt is natural in colour.
