  • Description

    patu, pumice. Orange staining on one side, possibly kokowai or rust. Has been broken and mended with PVA in the past. Base of handle has detached. Long axis sides of blade taper slightly around the midline to create hourglass shape. Edges have also been tapered to blunt point along edge. Small cut mark (20mm in length) is visible at the top of the blade. Handle is cylindrical in shape. Found in occupation two deposits
