carved slab of storehouse (descriptive name)

This pou from the pataka (storehouse) doorway features a figure carved with taratara-a-kae and spirals, facing the left. One hand rests on the stomach and the other is held to the mouth. Small paua shells have been inserted into the eyes, although one is missing. The entire pou has been painted red.
