    Sword set with shark's teeth (English)

    Te wete. Barb of te baiku (stingray). This wete is a long piece of bone with natural serration along its edges. It has a matte surface treatment and is off-white in colour. Natural wete could contain properties that could poison the blood and have been utilised in the making of Kiribati weapons.
