    True to Thee ([title])

    Sampler, one of five pieces of embroidery executed by Mrs. Gifford when a child. Brought to New Zealand in 1884 by Mrs. S Gifford (nee Emma Jane Weston).

    This is an unfinished sampler made in the colours of green, teal, red, gold, pink, tan and peach. It includes the motifs of ship, book, churches, roses, wreath, parrots and altars. The text reads: TRUE TO THEE
