  • Description

    Coated with reddish brown paint, there are four figures carved down each whakawae, with spiral designs to the side of these figures. Each of the figures has a protruding, pointed tongue, and disc shaped eyes of paua shell. All figures have their hands resting on their chests and stomachs. The pare features a main figure with hands to stomach, surrounded by smaller female wheku, and a large manaia along the left and right edges.
