    writing desk

    Made from maple wood, velvet, brass, mother of pearl, and glass. A writing desk made from maple veneer with a hinged lid the opens out flat to create a sloped writing desk. The desk has a lock with a mother of pearl inlay around the lock and also a mother of pearl in the shape of a crest on the top of the desk when closed. The desk has a crimson red velvet lining for a writing surface. At the top of the opened desk is multiple compartments for the glass ink wells and small compartments with lids and mother of pearl handles. Inside one of the compartments is 2 small envelopes and 2 calling cards with the name: DR J LOGAN CAMPBELL in cursive text
