    Okiri. Spear. Carved from a single piece of wood, possibly rakau toa (ironwood). Pointed at both ends. Taura puru akari, iri taki toru (sennit lashing woven in a flat 3-ply plait) are methodically wrapped (primarily in sets of four, with one set of five, and with a few sets of three) and spaced across the okiri. Dark and mid-toned brown in overall colour.
