Art and Crafts ideas were moved into mainstream furniture design by some large manufacturers. This simple, restrained and utilitarian sideboard was commissioned from Cousins and Cousins Ltd by newlyweds for their home. New Zealand rimu was, by this time, a wood that replaced oak.
