    Barkcloth beater (English)

  • Description

    Ike. Beater for tapa (barkcloth). Carved from solid piece of rakau (wood). Long and rectangular in shape. Four flat sides for beating tapa. The length of the beating surfaces on three sides are carved in fine grooves and the fourth carved in grooves of a moderate depth. No carved grip, ike is rectangular in shape. Light brown colour.
