  • Description

    pot, ceramic. Flat base, straight-sided body flares slightly outwards. Sharply angeled shoulder slopes inwards to restricted neck. Short neck, flares outwards, rim rounded. Interior of vessel undecorated. Exterior shoulder and body decorated with red and brown thin stripes around circumference and a central band of vertical stripes separated by rectanguls of zigzag patterns. Red clay coated with cream coloured slip.

    Baluchistan, western Pakistan, dating from before the Indus Valley civilisation circa 4th – 3rd millennia BCE.
