Pliers

human history
  • Description

    Pliers, case repairing, n.p.

steel pliers, one pincer tapers and then flares towards end and other just narrows towards end. Stamped on inside of handle "PAT. APPL. FOR".

Watchmakers often had to make, improvise or alter other tools for special occasions, and jobs such as repairing cases needed some ingenuity. It is possible that this pair of pliers were originally designed for opticians use in repairing spectacles, but have been adapted for another use.
