    Screwplate, 24 holes 01 to 9

    steel plate with handle. Trapezium shaped. Marked "PERRELET / & / MARTIN". Below is a shield with "PMN" and a fish. "GARANTIE" across top edge. Numbered along bottom edge.

    This screwplate ranging from no.9 to 1/0 has a double cut.

    Even more than with gauges, screw threads have varied country to country and still do. Some threads have been peculiar to one manufacturer, area or trade. The variety of diameters and pitches seems almost endless. Screwplates, with a range of graduated sizes were commonly used for making, or repairing damaged screws in timepieces.
