  • Description

    Tika. Throwing javelin. The tika comprises of a long cylindrical wooden shaft and a fakaulu (dart head) which is bulbous and pointed, dark brown in colour. The shaft is slightly bent. It is possible the shaft is made of fumamala. Red cotton is wrapped around the shaft near the fakaulu. Fakaulu can be made from tika, kieto, toi or gigie wood.
