Kato pesi. Purse. This is a small, hand-woven, rectangular, two-sided kato pesi. It is exposed of closures and handle components. It is made mostly from lau fā (pandanus leaf) in the form of lalaga fakafiti (a twill style weave). Dyed pinnules of lau fou (lace bark) have been applied to the exterior to define a repeated diagonal stripe. These are defined through dyed colours such as green, pink, navy and dark red.

The edge of the opening is uneven and drops in length on one side.
