strictly speaking, this interesting container of bamboo and vine is not a pakage. it is a replica of the old fashioned salt basket that used to hang in practically every Japanese kitchen. today it is sold as a folkcraft product designed more for decoration than actual use. it comes from Kagoshima Prefecture in southern Kyushu
