    jardiniere, bronze, with cover and tray, jardiniere elongated octagonal in shape with two hinged handles, the tray with raised edge, and studs to position jardiniere, the cover rises in pierced tiers, tray decorated with wave and cloud forms, sea birds and sword fish, jardiniere decorated with New Zealand birds (kiwi, fantail, etc) and flowers (kowhai, manuka, pohutukawa, clematis) and bands of paua, the cover is topped with a representation of a kiwi,The jardiniere was cast in the artists’ studio in Manukau Road, Auckland. The jardiniere bears the Royal cypher "E" and is a copy of the presentation jardiniere presented by the combined Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch branches of the Royal Empire Society to Princess Elizabeth [later H M the Queen] on the occasion of her marriage on 20 Nov 1947, Westminster, Abbey, London, England.
