    Waist garmet (English)

  • Description

    Titi. Waist garment made of from strips of plant fibre, possibly hibiscus fibre. The waistband is wide and is woven out in a fine check weave, using finely stripped strands which further extend as loose strips, completely the remaining body of the liku. There are orange/brown marks/stains visible across the waistband. Off-white in overall colour.
