    chest of drawers, New Zealand, circa 1885-90 Rimu carcass with faux bois finishes and graining techniques, including stippling and graining to give the impression of exotic hardwood (probably mahogany). Original nickel plated handles, white porcelain castors and shaped long top drawer to add to overall appearance and visual "importance" of the piece. Ex dealer, sourced from South Canterbury.
