    Urn

    Brought to New Zealand by Mrs Selwyn, wife of Bishop Selwyn, in 1842. Made from copper. The body of the urn is an ovoid shape, a short neck and a circular opening with outwards curled leaves in brass. The lid is circular and has an ornate knob handle a the top centre. On the sides of the urn body is two handles made from two flourish leaves. The urn has a ornate square base with 4 feet
