Gejia Miao people treasure their richly woven and highly decorated costumes. This jacket would be worn with equally ornate aprons, skirts, headdresses, and silver jewellery. The jacket’s batik dyeing displays fine workmanship, and the status of clothing as a visual artform for Gejia Miao.
