  • Description

    kantharos, drinking vessel. Spherical form, unrestricted on a pedestal foot. Concavity under foot and mark where it was removed from the wheel. Rim edge is rounded. Two flat/ribbon handles project upward (58mm) from opposing sides of the rim, then curve downwards and attach to the bottom of the body. The vessel is made in three pieces: pedestal foot, base with clay for handles attached, and sides. Regular incised stamping / pinching where the base attached to the sides.
