  • Description

Huipil top from Guatemala in red, pink and purple tones. Handwoven on backstrap loom in two pieces joined at the centre and sides. Wooden beads in bunches at neckline and intermittantly at hem. The bands of weaving that are zig-zagging represent a serpent motif important to Guatemala culture.
