    Notes: scabbard worn at end (indicates use and being dragged on ground)

    ref. Robson: fig. 124, pp 116-117 (pattern 1822); and fig. 128, page 119 (Pattern 1845)

    blade length and width: 32 1/2in. x 1 1/8in.

    blade type: pattern 1845 (Wilkinson blade) : wide deep fuller extending from within 1 1/2in. of shoulder to within 10in. of spear point; tang carried up through pommel to end in a tang button.

    guard: gilt brass, with sword knot slit near pommel

    hilt mounts: gilt brass with lions head pommel [?]

    grip: wood covered in fishskin and bound with brass wire.

    scabbard: black leather, gilt chape, band and locket with large shoe; loose ring and frog stud on locket; loose ring on band.

    sword weight:

    scabbard weight: 13oz.

    Notes: 1845 pattern continued until 1854
