    Belonged to Captain Mary Geddes, Commandant of WAACs in camp at Papakura

    During WW2 Mary Geddes, born 1887, was enlisted as commandant of members of the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC) in camp at Papakura. Mary trained first at Trentham gaining the rank of Captain, and then took over the WAACs at Papakura for the remainder of the war.
