Rārangi Mihi
gift of A.H.Court
Given to Mr John Court by Zensuke & co. (exporters of silks and curios) of Kobe, Japan in 1919.It is probable that Court had a business relationship with the Company, retailing Zemsuke items in his department Auckland Store, George Courts.
An original letter accompanying the lunch box states that it was used by Mr Zenzuke's grandfather and father for picnics, flower beholding and at the theatre.
