The open mouth area of the handbag is completely covered with pandanus creating 8 rounded ‘V’ or ‘U’ shaped elements. The edges of the lid is also completely covered in pandanus and when viewed from the top, the areas not covered by the pandanus and showing the coconut shell surface creates an 8 rounded leaf flower motif. Threaded at two opposite ends of the mouth is the handle which is also treaded through two opposite ends of the lid. The centre of the lid contains a small rectangular button made of pandanus fibre.
