  • Description

    Figurine head. Headdress a fringe-like band marked by a horizontal groove across the forehead and six vertical grooves running down from the top of the head. A fillet, end broken, with an indent at the top, drapes from the side of the head over the earspool (centrally indented). The fillet and earspool from the opposite side of the head have been broken off. The eyes are slit style within a socket with finely shaped eyebrows. Nose and chin well defined, mouth small.

    Modelling striations visible on face. The top of the head has been painted red, traces of red pigment also in earspool and mouth. The fillet has a dark pigment on the outside. Traces of white on the rest of the surfaces. Broken at the neck.
