  • Description

    Figurine. Head and torso of a seated 'old god' figure, arms and legs broken off. Top of head flat. A bar-like element with two vertical grooves, and broken ends, placed across the forehead. One centrally indented earspool survives, the other is broken out. The eyes are wide slit-style within carefully formed sockets. Nose well finished, dark coloured.Mouth highlighted with red pigment.

    Two deep oblique lines on each cheek possibly representing age and filled with white pigment. Modelling striations on one cheek. Torso leaning forward. Arms broken off at shoulders, legs at thighs, the angle indicating a cross-legged posture. Torso lean, chest and stomach flat, back curved, base flat. Traces of red and white pigment on the face and earspool. Either yellow or oxidised red under chin and base.
