    holster: brown leather flap-top holster with captive spare magazine pocket on right hand edge; under flap pouch for Luger disassembly tool; strap for assisting removal of Luger; two belt loops on rear; maker's cartouche on rear: imperial German crown / III

    magazine: 8 round stacked magazine with wooden endcap

    right forward of body: four manufacturer's and proof marks

    serial number on left forward of body, on rear underside of barrel, and front of body above trigger guard: 1228

    on all removable parts: 28

    maker's details at top of toggle action: DWM and crest

    on top of chamber/body: date: 1917

    magazine number on wooden magazine endcap: 2686
