    flintlock boxlock double barrel (side by side) travelling pistol; .45 inch calibre; 4 inch turnoff cannon barrels; muzzle-loading; smoothbore; single trigger; sliding cover on pan on left; flint still held in action; rounded walnut butt with fine silver wire inlay and silver grotesque mask; ornate foliate embossing to plate, chamber and front of frizzen
