    Pair of percussion travelling pistols, 19th century (France or Belgium)

    pair of boxlock percussion pistols; .43 inch calibre; octagonal turn-off smoothbore barrel with spring bayonet; to fold away bayonet, press slotted stud on left hand side, fold back to rear, ease trigger guard to rear, slot point of bayonet in, and move trigger guard forward to lock in position; foliate engraved iron frames; one-piece walnut grips

    missing: .1 when barrel has been reaffixed it has become overtightened and is out of alignment with flat side of body; .2 hammer spur is broken off and missing

    on left side: oval with ELG (Liege)
